Sup /g/
I can't be the only one with this issue.
>have a server running 4 x 2TB drives in RaidZ1
>house is littered with other drives
>mainly farmed from broken laptops and PC's that relatives have brought in to save data and transfer to new laptops.
>2 x 1TB 3.5" drives
>2 x 1TB 2.5" drives (now in caddies)
>2 x 320GB 2.5" drives (no caddies)
>1 x 2TB SAS drive out of fucking nowhere
>3 other assorted mystery sized 3.5" HDDS
wtf do I do with all this shit?
I've already given away drives in caddies to retarded family members who now know the value of having a backup solution.
Yes tell us more about what you're doing with all those hard drives

Give them to me.
>>57907096
Nothing.
That's the problem, you illiterate fucktard.
>>57907059
do you want to mail them to canada?
How good is your internet?
You could build a server for seeding torrents.

Become a data hoarder?
I use 18GiB of my 232GiB SSD (and I'll be honest, about a tenth is porn), I don't get why people need so much space.

>unironically using the cloud
Some time ago I threw out all of my sub 2TB drives, well except for one 750GB which has some data I can't be fucked to move to a bigger drive.
USB sticks are quickly approaching the same sizes as the smaller old HDDs, while being quite a bit faster.
Holding onto the smaller old drives is fairly pointless.

Im reaching a similar mindset.
Im keeping moderate sized drives for long term storage though. For example, I have about 800gb of iso files that wont be usuable for the near future, I am going to compress those and cram them on a >1tb drive and put it in a drawer and forget about it. I dont want to destroy 1/4 of a 4tb on shit I wont be using.
My flash drives are horrendously outdated, with a write speed of 5-14 mbps, they are just painful to use. I will be replacing them at some point.
>>57907551
where did he mention or hint at that?
>>57907059
I feel you OP. I've got a shitton of PATA and SCSI drives sitting on a shelf. I'm also open to finding uses for them.
>>57907059
Amazon will probably give you a few bucks for them
>>57907480
Bf4 is 60 Gb, a simple fea simulation solution can be severalGb quite easily. What exactly do you use your pc for?
Fill them with gay porn and leave them in a school playground.
seems a waste to tear down something that is still functional but...you could always dismantle and sell the metals.

If hes only using 18 gigs it's probly a Facebook machine
>>57907059
And hows the health on those drives?
I would sell the SAS drive, as those motehrfuckers tend to operate at high temps that many pc cases would not tolerate, or you'll need to think in an adequate airflow + the dedicated controller card.
What the fuck do you mean by mystery size drives?
