The rules don't make sense. Either everything relating to a topic goes in the board or you have specific things that relate to this board go there. For example, why are desktop threads banned? Yes there's a board for them, but they do relate to technology. Why aren't SQTs moved to request or something? Why isn't WDG moved to design, but programming generals allowed. How do you decide?

Is it for quality control? Certainly not. People stay in their generals, but the rest of it is just shit. Why are video cards not moved to v? Why are headphones threads not in mu?

This is the problem with categorization of fields like this. They overlap. You either allow it all or force people to spread out to other boards.

Heres what i give you hiroshima. I have been coming to /g/ for about 3 years and generally all the threads i have wanted to create already have a general or are within the rules so i am satisfied there. Also i can usually find a couple threads that keep my attention throughout the catalog at any given time so also no complaints there. My only complaint would be about the "redpill me" threads and the blatantly rule breaking threads that for some reason are aloud and thrive on this board. Anyways youll never be able to get rid of the faggotry as it is weaved deep into the roots of /g/ and i personally dont mind since it keeps things interesting.
