i'm using mint xfce 18 on a netbook with a 64GB ssd, and i could not care less about any opinion about linux mint.
Mint 18, it even comes with /opt, what could you possibly want?!?!?!!?
>>57898024
Wow, can't believe how shitty Mint is. Almost like Manjaro. Why do retards use these meme distros?

There is no element 'M'. And the other atomic data is that of Magnesium, which has the elemental symbol 'Mg'.

Manjaro works on my machine. Sorry your experience isn't the same, friend!

The rest is opinionated bullshit.

Not here.
>>57898005
bloated, uses mdm and has a trash tier community behind it.
Despite the criticisms, I'm planning on making Mint my first distro because of Cinnamon. Two questions:
1. Should I wait for 18.1 next month?
2. For the update policies, how bad is that "give me everything" option? Ubuntu gets everything, and it seems perfectly stable.
>>57906332
I've been installing every update since installing Mint last month and nothing broke yet.
