We use Spring 3.x with an application that takes 5 minutes to compile.

Use Play and Scala instead. JSP or Spring are obsolete now.

400.000 lines of code without comments and empty lines spread over ~30 projects that all build one big fat .war.
The primary maven file is over 1000 lines long, I have no idea what it even does. There are also ant files doing god knows what.
We use JSF and spring webflow for the application, without having anyone who properly understand those two technologies.
It's a mess.
The .war takes 2 minutes to start up.
The unit tests run for 30 minutes.
I hate my job but the money game: I get lots and lots of compensation and benefits for my pain and suffering.
