hmm, I'm 192cm and I tend to have weird sitting positions or change my positions every 30 minutes.

I rest my legs on the arm rests, after doing that for 2 or 3 months the arm rest broke off.

Same chair literally "snapped"(bend) in half after 4 or 5 months of use. The sitting frame broke off from that metal below it.

So after searching for good chairs I noticed that I have to spend >500€ for a good one, which is just ridiculous.

I'll just get the ones that we used in school, where I just laid in and never had problems with.... well.. besides that numb ass after a while.

... How are these DX racer chairs?
They look like cheap gamermeme chairs from china, but a lot of people seem to love them.

Nope. Centered at eye height. It's more natural this way. You have a natural disposition to look dead ahead, so if you are looking at your screen at an angle (i.e. down) when you are sitting straight, you subconsciously always compensate by hunching when you use them.

Everyone highly recommends monitors placed this "high" who tried it.

I'm a little surprised I didn't get many comments on this. It was quite a monumental task to debezel and have them perfectly aligned.

Anyway, in response to a couple from the other thread. Creating desk space wasn't a goal, although I actually do have more "usable" desk space without the original stands. The height is an extra bonus but the main reason was to make all 3 screens entirely rigid so that when using a force feedback racing wheel they don't move independently.

Is it true that the more and/or larger monitors you have,

What does /g/ use old pcs for? I have an old dell optiplex (intel pentium 4,512mb ram, 40gb hdd running xp,a lenovo prebuilt with a Amd Athlon II X2 255,4gb ram,Sapphire hd 4650,320gb hdd and a lenovo laptop with: a Amd k16,6gb of ram,120gb ssd and integrated graphics.) Same back at you. (Love the decoration, and I especially love fish tanks, I wish my desk would be large enough for a nano shrimp aquarium. The statues are a nice touch too.) Another big bonus is the lack of memes. The battlestation has a weird location though, as if it was just tossed there because there wasn't space anywhere else, so it doesn't feel like it's a part of the room. 7.5/10 for that.

I wasn't hating on the reciever, just mainly stating that those speakers being below ear level and then having a sheet of wood between you and them when you're sitting up at the desk is going to murder your audio quality. If those were like on the other side of your room for music, etc. they'd be perfect

Model M is Model M, great for typing but I'm personally more gaming oriented, and as such am biased in my impartiality against classic mechanical keyboards due to 2kro issues.

I've had similar issues with my DS4 controller. Don't waste your money on the "Official" dongle. I purchased it hoping it would resolve my bluetooth pairing woes for gaming. i threw that shit in a drawer and promptly forgot about it after I found out that it only works with 'Playstation Now' services on the PC, not Steam.

Steam Big Picture mode does have beta support for the DS4 controller now though, just have to add it in the 'Big Picture' settings. It's resolved most of my complaints with DS4/PC functionality

Don't expect anything fancy like high refresh rates or similar stuff, but it has 4ms lag, which is pretty low, and it looks great. There are also newer 1440p models if you want that. Still, it's perfect for general use, be it working on gaming. Check the TFTCentral review if you want some more in-depth information.

It's an IKEA kitchen countertop in laminate.

"Säljan" was the name of mine but I'm not sure if they still make this particular design.

It's really sturdy (supposed to be used in the kitchen) but also very heavy, so you're gonna need a leg near the middle to prevent sagging.

Mine in particular has a dark wooden effect but anything goes since it's laminate technology (stone, wood, metal effect etc)

Best of all was the fucking price though however, around $50 here in Sweden for the shorter version.

it seems like it, there are some tips for sub placement though if you're up for moving it and listening around the room
just put it near where your head would be (it would probably be fine on the chair placed where you normally sit) and play some stuff with lots of bass, then just move around your room
it's best if you actually get on the ground and put your ears where the sub would be sitting
wherever it sounds best, stick it right there and it should sound pretty much the same when you sit in the chair

bass usually stays the same volume cause it's harder for large waves like that to just die off in the air.
