I fixed it before I even posted this, but there's just too much fucking shit getting sent to the cli these days.
I remember when people would post photoshops of the old screen, making it look like pic related as a troll. This is just fucked.
>>

macOS is the most cucked OS by far.

I don't mind the option being sent to the CLI but it still is unsettling since you never know if they'll remove the CLI option one day.

Forcing the app store would be fine if they didn't gimp the apps that people submit

This is something you can literally just disable and is pretty useful for my parents or retarded relatives. As opposed to them removing that option it's kinda stupid.

So how do you allow apps from unidentified developers on Sierra?
>>

Don't Windows and macOS do the same thing?

su root

This is being a cuck.

Does the "open anyway" dialogue show when running an app from an unidentified developer? I'm on Sierra 10.12.1 and I still see the option. Before you were stopped from installing until you checked "from anywhere", but if it lets you install stuff from unidentified devs with 1 extra click instead of 3 I'm not too fussed.
>>
>>57895433
No, kys redditor.
>>
>>57896975
Neither do you in any OS, anon. Tell us your story.
>>
>>57896198
In conclusion, just disable SmartScreen, which is easier to do than whatever shit you have to get around something in Cucknix
>>
>>57895688
The failure of the Mac App Store is one of Apple's biggest missed opportunities.
>>
>>57896241
what if you want to install something that isn't in the repo
for example a project from github

You can just type su without root you know...

In other news, I'm just about to "downgrade" back to El Capitan, possibly all the way to Mavericks.

Sierra has a ridiculous bug where if you switch the input language, and it doesn't actually switch - you're still typing at the previous language. Also pressing Caps Lock to change language, which was added in Sierra, randomly stops working.

Both of these bugs have a forum post about them since June, the earliest DPs, so Apple must have known about them for 6 months. But no fix. I'm not even sure what OS X point updates are even For, since unlike iOS they have exactly zero feature additions and they have never fixed any of the confirmed bugs I've reported.

OS X really is a shit.

You can still open untrusted programs, just right click => open.

Imho it's better to do it consciously than just click the thing everytime it opens.

Can't think of any software rn that I'm using on macOS that is unverified anyway.

10.12.2 will probably be released sometime next week (it's now on Beta 5), so you may want to see if that fixes your issues.

Also, you know the default shortcut for changing languages is Ctrl+Space, right?

Sierra was a big step backwards.
Why does apple have to regularly mess up their operating system?
Snow Leopard was perfection, Lion fucked it up.
Mavericks was really good, but Yosemite was awful.
Le Capitano was... okay, and Sierra now feels like a beta Loonix distro.
