Trying to prove to a friend that his beats studio 2 have the sound of 50$ headphones. He bought them on "sale" for 125 $ and he thinks he made a good deal. Can you link me to reviews or comparison with better cheaper headphones plz help
You can't
they have shit build quality and probably won't last 2 years of heavy use

Here's the thing. Beats have a lot of bass and to the general consumer probably sound better than a lot of the hifi headphones discussed here. Hifi or "audiophile" headphones tend to have a more neutral sound signature and are likely to sound less impressive to your friend. Closest to $50 is Sony MDR 7506.

Best entry studio headphones:
Superlux try HD 681 for ~25$

For comparison to other headphones mentioned. 598's are the best.

How about you leave your friend the fuck alone and let him enjoy his purchase. You probably gave him advice prior to him buying the cans and he didn't take it. If he's unhappy with his purchase, he'll return it.
Protip: not every decision someone else makes is open to criticism.
