Last night I finally built my first rig.

i5 6600K
MSI Krait Gaming 3x
16 Gb DDR4 Hyper X Black 2400Mhz (2x8)
Hyper 212 Evo
256Gb Crucial SSD
1Tb WD Caviar Blue

But installing Windows 10 it gives me that error around 30% of instalation. I started reading forums and got kinda scared because it could be a Hardware issue (RAM), so I tried with both sticks apart and got the sae result.

Tried with 2 different isos, same story. I'm using a bootable USB.

Please, help me solve this. I'm not a tech savvy, I don't have much money and I don't want to spend more to replace my ram if that's the problem.

PS. Sorry if I have grammar errors. I'm not a native english speaker, I learned on my own.

did you calibrate the omnitronic oscapilator? did you apply the farodynamic soot to the variable manipulator?
>>
your bootable usb might be corrupted

I would delete the files off the usb and rebuild it
>>
>>57881070
Try a linux distro, you can also try taking out one of the ram modules in case one of them is fucked up

You could've done better.

tried this? from google....

Format the primary drive partition before installing the OS.

I had exactly the same problem when I tried installing a Windows 10 ISO on a new Lenovo G40-45 laptop using the same Rufus tool. The problem was I didn't format the primary drive and I got this same error code 0x8007025d. Once I did the formatting before selecting it as the primary partition to install the OS on that partition, the windows files loaded without any errors. Hope this helps.

Download linux mint mate to usb, make it bootable via any program you find and try that.

It also contains memtest for your ram

Plug ram off and on, try variations.

Check md5 of your iso w10.

Use better usb.

The hdd and ssd are brand new

every time I tried installing I formatted both drives

Apart from other decent tips you already got here (what the fuck /g/ ... being actual helpful? You fuckers all sick?) ...

Apart from that ... also take the Blue HDD out of the rig and focus on installing to the SSD, make sure your BIOS is set correctly. Once you get your problem solved and the OS running, then add your HDD in.

As suggested, initializing and formatting the SSD before attempting the install is top advices, plus this was solid, too: >>57881127

Doesn't have to be Mint; there are a number of utility linux live USB options that can just boot from USB to get basic system analysis and hardware testing (I think even the gparted live USB has a mem test function included, which also gives SSD formatting options).

Here: http://gparted.org/liveusb.php this boots to a basic, simple desktop with working network & browser. If you can boot with this, you can at least begin to eliminate some possible problems.
>>
>>57881227
Thank you so much, I'll try it right now! You're awesome
>>
>>57881227
>>57881264

No prob.

A couple more thoughts that might come in handy. As mentioned >>57881127 you can try each RAM stick one at a time and move them between slots to see if at least one stick will work in at least one slot so you can boot. A stick (or both) could be bad, but the slots could also be funky ... but your odds are good that at least one stick/one slot will work. Once you find it.

The other is thought is that, now that you have made a few attempts, your SSD and your HDD probably have leftover install, initialization & format debris left on them. So, under Windows command prompt use diskpart and the clean command to reset the disks (google will help you here if you're not familiar with this). They will then have to be initialized again before formatting. The gparted USB can do the same thing if you read up a bit on how to use it.

Good luck anon. Got to sign off for the morning, so best wishes. We've all been where you are once (or a few dozen times) by now.

Why? There's GNU/Linux.
>>
Dude, I had exact same issue, the only solution was to install Windows from a DVD. I tried everything I found on the Internet, the final solution was to grab a disk drive and install it from a DVD, good luck
>>
>>57881421
I'll try it too, thanks
>>
>>57881421

Hmmm. Win7 has a notorious problem where, if you try to install from a USB 3 flash drive &/or using a USB 3 port on your motherboard, it will fail due to lack of proper USB 3 drivers.

Solution: use a USB 2 device on a USB 2 port. Obviously slower than USB 3, but it can work and is faster than a DVD.

Win10 _SHOULD_ not have that problem. But, fucking Windows. You never know.

>>57881553
Currently installing w10 with a disc. 26%. I hope it works, if not I will try the harder Ubuntu method
>>
>>57881683
Nope. 37% and died with disc method. For fuck sake
>>
>>57881070
Based error 0x8007025d saved you from doing goofed and installing botnet 10. Install gentoo instead.
>>
You can force completion via comand prompt.
>>
>>57881114
Kek, even the error message shit itself. Good ol' BSODs were based, only some serious hardware error could corrupt them.
>>
Try remaking the installer or a new usb drive.
>>
I recently built a system with an MSI motherboard. I had no problem installing the system, but I was getting RAM related crashes and blue screens. It turned out that the BIOS needed an update with RAM compatibility fixes, so see if there aren't any BIOS updates for your motherboard.
>>
I had similar issues with this before op

Install windows on the hard drive and see if that works then clone it to sdd
>>
>>57881691

Have you taken both the SSD and the HDD out of the rig and just booted into the BIOS? If you can get into the BIOS, search around all the possible menus to see if everything is working/configured.

I mean ... shit. If you can get into the BIOS and see if your memory recognized at its proper specs, at least you can decide if that's a problem or not and you need to keep looking for something else.

This won't help with your other hardware, but the free version of MiniTool Partition Wizard is powerful & reliable for hard disk analysis testing and formatting under Windows:

Might not help right now, but maybe useful "soon."

>>57881227
>take the Blue HDD out of the rig and focus on installing to the SSD

That's a good method, but the opposite also might help. If the SSD is a problem somehow, then the HDD might take the install. If that works, then check & format the SSD and you can migrate your install from the HDD to the SSD (Partition Wizard can do that easily).

Umm ......... you DID set ACHI in the BIOS? For SSD compatibility?
>>
This guy here says it's because windows freaks out with SSDs > 128 GB (it installed fine on my 256 GB SSD but whatever). He says he partitioned his SSD on another computer, and then installed it windows on one of the partitions. If it works you can later merge the two partitions back into one to get the full drive back.

I actually have the same SSD as you (CT256MX100), and it worked fine for me. So this might be bullshit.

That ISO is fucked. Start over completely. Again. Use a different flash drive if necessary. Just use Microsoft's tool to make a brand new one. Seriously doubt this has anything to do with RAM for fuck's sake guys.
