you need a VHS and DVD machine yes i'm taking about the 2 in ones.
very expenvise and rare but DVd quaity will be lost on a VHS it will just look like HDVHS TAPE
get a black metal VHS tape this is the best one to record on.

For video signal
DVD Audio Out ---> VHS Audio In
for mono setup
or
DVD Audio Out Left ---> VHS Left Audio In
DVD Audio Out Right ---> VHS Right Audio In
for stereo setup
If one is mono and one is stereo use a RCA double adapter to mix the l/r audio.

connect a dvd player up to a vcr, hit play on the dvd player, and record on the vcr
if the dvd has macrovision or similar copy protection designed to prevent vhs copies, you'll need a macrovision stripper as well
