Does your fstab use UUIDs? It should.

I had this error sometime but can't remember what I did to fix it.

Had the same problem last week after i installed ubuntu. It booted fine the first time but the next day it booted straight to initram. If that's what happened to you, i solved it with a windows install flash drive, fixed MBR or something
