why do you guys shit on this? i had the easiest time learning how to code through this.
it gave me exercises and i did them. and it wasn't just some 500 page preface of how python was invented by the ancient jorgumand to subdue humanity.

As someone with basic C knowledge, I've looked through it and I just didn't like the format, desu.
Nothing is introduced incrementally. Most ideas are implemented as large sweeping multi-page blocks of code, and you then are forced to grok 5 new concepts at once.
And that's what I got, as someone who already knows what 95% of the things in the book do.
