Seriously considering upgrading my build
right now I have
>amd 8320
>gtx 970
>8gb RAM

Looking to Intel because they run cooler and use less power. That's what I'm looking for in my next build. Also want to downsize from my Fractal define R4. it's a good case but it's soo fucking big and I can't take it anywhere.

So my options are this right now(or at least what I'm looking at)
>go with Skylake
>probably i7 6700
>No overclock but i want lower TDP and energy use

OR

>xeon
>lol can't game(?)
>more cost effective with access to more cores/threads
>limited motherboard selection for m-ITX

I don't need help building the PC but I need to know if it's worth it to go down the xeon route. The motherboard selection is what kills me. Also are older xeons worth looking into? The Skylake ones have very limited boards but I'm hoping that manufacturers will come around. If not than should i just go the i7 cuck route?
