Phones I've seen shilled on here a lot:
-xiaomi anything, especially redmi note 3
-Asus zenfone 2
-any nexus phone minus the pixel because it's retardedly expensive
-Sony z series phones
-Nokia windows phones if you don't care about having a big app store
From the reviews I've read, I agree that any of these are good choices. Xiaomi seems to be the best bang for your buck, but may not support some frequencies that aren't used in asia, so make sure the phone you want is compatible with your carrier.
