So, for someone who isn't into PC gaming and high performance, is there any reason not to get one of these?

Are these desktop computers reliable? These seem like nice home workstations.

It's a waste of money. Just build a desktop and put linux on it for 1/4 of the price.

>overpriced
>limited hardware
>limited os
Even if you don't necessarily care about performance or gaming, this just isn't a good purchase.

It's way overpriced. If you just want a facebook machine you can buy a better monitor and PC, and install a superior OS for less money.

My 2008 iMac is still getting shit done on a daily basis. Maybe more if I ever get around to reformatting and reinstalling the OS to clear out the cruft.

iMacs are GOAT. Great screen and it does everything you want really well. Tons and tons of high-quality commercial software.

Get one.

The lower end 5K models are actually a pretty good value if you aren't gaming and actually wanted a 5K display already. If you don't give a shit about 5K it's not a good value.

As someone that has actually used a 5K iMac for more than 5 minutes, the resolution benefits over 2560x1440 are really not that significant. A 27" WQHD display is already pretty pixel dense.

You would be better off with a thin laptop and a decent screen IMO.

You don't really need 5K.
>>
>>57845984
if you are not into gaming a macbook is enough

also nowdays those are just non portable macbooks

>superior OS
