Hello /g
let's talks about OpenBSD
it's the extreme distrib for strong secure server?
>>57839566
I use OpenBSD non-ironically for both fun and production.
I think it's a great OS, not so at everything, but at a lot of things.
The thing I like the most is the balance between control, simplicity and security.
yheah i think too
i am looking for a full tuto to install encrypted system with /boot too
possible to use crypteseup ont it ?

OpenBSD supports full disk encryption, but not with LUKS.
It required softraid and bioctl.

i don't know if i'd use this, it's pretty out of date and not official i don't think
the openbsd FAQ probably has a section on it

You mean not use the guide or the utilities?
The instructions are up to date but I expect that people read the manual before copypasting them.
I should stop doing that.

Make sure you read bioctl manpage when installing -release, you need to set the key hashing round counter higher than the default value (I use 500000).
-current has this fixed

i mean any guide that's not written by the openbsd team itself
>>57841440
You're right, I checked the article and its not how i would do it,
I never understood why people put their swap outside the encrypted partition.

>non-ironically

>I never understood why people put their swap outside the encrypted partition.
Swap partition's encrypted either way, doesn't really matter if it's in your encrypted softRAID or not.
