Whats the best desktop for people with more than one monitor? Most desktop environments feel like they were built for one monitor. Currently kde seems to have the most support but it can be buggy.

Windows 10, linux support for multiple desktops sucks

Even Xfce will work fine. What bug did you see in KDE?

Xfce works quite well. I3 claims to have good support. On the other hand, now I'm on KDE and there is not even a damn option to choose on which monitor a panel is displayed. Also plasma crashes each time a monitor is disconnected.

Right click on the second monitor, unlock widget, add new panel, default panel? And did you set your primary monitor?

i3 works very well (there's some config tweaking involved but it's nothing really heavy). You can either combine all the screens into one giant desktop or designate each monitor as a separate virtual desktop. I use it with three 1920 x 1080 monitors in the latter mode.
>>
i3 does very well with a little configuring, and still decent out of the box
>>
I like unity's workspace switcher. been using it with two monitors forever. you can zoom out and get a high level view of where all your shit is and it shows all monitors.

Using Gnome 3 on triplehead here. Never had the slightest issue.

I have a laptop with an external monitor set up as a primary. Adding second panel works, but when you unplug the external monitor later, sometimes all the panels move to laptop screen (result depends on if the external monitor was connected on plasma startup). Xfce panels have the option to choose on which monitor they are displayed.

I3 or unity. Everything else fails at multiple monitors.

I'm aware that Imgur.com will stop allowing adult images since 15th of May. I'm taking actions to backup as much data as possible.
