Honestly, now is probably better than 2009. Just compare WhatsApp, SnapChat, etc. to Facebook. A lot of today's "social apps" are pseudonymous and WhatsApp even offers end-to-end encryption (too bad it's closed source).

That's actually a pretty good policy to follow if you're a cool admin. Cool admins basically seem to only not like shitposting, spam and excessive rudeness.

This is true for the first couple of months but as time goes on it will be ban-on-sight for even the most pointless shit or if you go even slightly against the grain of whatever local memes or wrong information the site keeps repeating. They won't give a reason why you were banned because to do so would mean admitting how phantasmagoriacally biased they are and take everything as a threat. They won't post a sticky either because they'd also have to admit it that way and then we have a massive amount of users who genuinely have no clue why their posts are disappearing.
