PARIS (Reuters) - A proposal to name a street after the late Apple Inc chief executive and co-founder Steve Jobs has divided the leftist city council of a Paris district.
The local district mayor wants to call one of several new streets around the vast Halle Freyssinet high-tech startup hub the "Rue Steve Jobs" in honor of the U.S. inventor of the iPhone who died in 2011.
But Green and Communist local councillors in Paris's 13th district don't like the idea because of Apple's social and fiscal practices.

Remember, if not for Jobs you'd still be using Norton's Commander, thinking it was the height of tech. Lynx instead of IE because no GUI. Video games would be in 16 colors.
We know this because Microsoft only brings out new stuff in reaction to competition.

that sounds sooooo comfy but lets be real xerox parc apple and ms didnt invent these things it was common knowledge that all this tech was coming soon. steve jobs never invented anything.
by 1968 they had windows, hypertext, graphics, efficient navigation and command input, video conferencing, the computer mouse, word processing, dynamic file linking, revision control, and a collaborative real-time editor (collaborative work) all in a single system.

Pic related would be the state of computing if freetards were left in charge.

Linux would never have became popular if Microsoft didn't kill the competition
>>57813167

Why does Paris even have communists in the city council? Could they not get a job picking up dogshit in the local parks?
>>57815146
Because in first world countries, there are more than 2 political parties.
