I support UBI. I don't see any alternative to mass unemployment of the vast majority of humanity, and eventually all of it. Humans have finite capability and machines are improving and that rate of improvement is only increasing. At some point human labor will just not be economically viable, for any and ever conceivable task. How we handle that inevitability is the only real issue.

That is a dystopian option, sure I fully expect some to spend their time idle in such a manner. However, plenty of people will do things because they want to do them, now free to since they don't have to do other things. Hobbies will expand to fill the extra time, and humanity will spend efforts on labors of love and not toil for a paycheck.
