What's the point of using Linux if you are neither a developer or sysadmin
It's less aggravating and stupid than the alternative

Free as in the free beer
Linux distro lets you to delete these annoying windows files which Windows itself won't let you to (TrustedJewstaller doesn't allow shit)
It is easier to manage (which makes it popular with sysadmins).
It is easier to automate simple tasks (which makes it popular with developers)
It is free as in freedom, which means no more security risks because of malicious intent.
People who write free software does not prioritize money and market share over quality.
You don't get ask taskbar along your java install.
It can use less resources if you want that.
It means you can keep your computer a lot longer (the last 3 computers I had was replaced because I wanted a new one, not because the other one broke and they were not so slow I found them unusable).
Compared to some of my coworkers who had a 3 second lag on the windows 8 launcher on a 2 year old laptop.
Passionate users.
If something doesn't work, there are a lot of people you can turn to and together you can figure out why it doesn't work or apply the fix they did. Obviously it would be better if everything "just worked", but the reality is that things work better if you know how they work.
And it is very easy to learn how things work with free software.
On my shit laptop Linux with lightweight DE runs better than any Windows including XP.
On desktop I run Windows like non-autist.
If you aren't a developer or sysadmin then why are you on /g/?
