That's what I fucking love about Solus, it's built from the ground up. It's not a copy of another distro with a shiny new DE. It's a shiny new distro with a shiny new DE.

It's still too early for me to use because it doesn't have the programs I'd like to use and Budgie is missing a few features, but I'll be damned if it's not the greatest distro I've tried so far.

Sticking with Fedora until Solus is more mature, then I'm jumping ship.

Why does Linux mint exist for example?

At least on Fedora you get the same distro in different flavors. With Debian, do the slightest change to the DE or Theme and you've got yourself a fresh distro.

Manjaro and antergos. Why do they exist? Arch isn't THAT difficult to install and setup, and they completely destroy the original purpose of Arch for existing.
It's like installing a precompiled Gentoo. Why would anyone do that?

I love that Solus is built from the ground up. It's fast, it works great for what it can do, and it's getting features fast. It just needs to mature before it can be taken seriously as someones primary OS.
