Python has a tutorial on their site somewhere. It's surprisingly good

Start with a beginner tutorial, it shouldn't take you more than 2 or 3 hours to grasp the thick of it, then go to
http://www.pythonchallenge.com/
And solve shit until you're stuck. By then you should know how to ask the correct questions in google to find the answers on your own.
