For what it's worth for me it's just not a good language. You need to explicitly go out of your way to declare certain things and repeat yourself. In my case it's mostly just arbitrary, there's no good reason I should half to figure out whether I need a float or a long or an int and then change the rest of the program accordingly.

Also, there's no good C framework for web development. Maybe one day.
