I need a very cheap FTP/NFS/Backup service.
From 500GB to 1TB or more.
I don't need syncing or any user friendly bullshit that comes with Dropbox, Box, OneDrive, Google Drive and the like...
What does /g/ use?
I run my own server.

I need something in the "cloud"... I hate it, but I need it. It needs to be off site.

I just got a AWC account, still uploading my shit to it, not bad, I don't know how long I'll keep it.
They claim "unlimited" storage for $60, I'll probably end up having 500gb, I heard of people putting over 10TBs in it. But I have also heard of accounts being terminated because of reasons.
Currently have a 1mbps upstream connection. Anyone have sugestions on how I could speed this shit up? Call ISP and ask them if they'd let me use faster rate for a few hours? Find different way of uploading? This shit is gonna take for fucking ever.

Been wondering this for a while for a private photo backup server. Right now I'm using next cloud on digital ocean infra, but I'm thinking about using DO to mount Google compute cloud storage pools.
If you need something fast and cheap, whatbox will give you non-root shell, sftp, and other perks on a shared server for a few bucks

>I'm using next cloud on digital ocean infra,
How much are you paying for that? Judging by their website 40GB will cost $20 a month. Whatbox is also costly at $15 compared to AWC or even OneDrive.

I'm using their block storage, for 100 GB for 20$ a month or so, not including the servers. I have latency requirements though. If this is a rarely accessed backup, there are cheaper options

>I have latency requirements though
Can I ask what for?
Also, any sugestions on how I could get my half of a terabyte uploaded?
