There's really nothing to learn about machine learning if you know basic programming.

It's just math/statistics, you feed data in to a NN, then you adjust the NN to output the data you need, if there are patterns in the data and you are training the NN right it will 'just work', most bigboy libraries hold your hand along the way as well.
