Here we discuss the pros and cons.
I've seen Solus memed to shit and back on /g/, and I want to understand what it is that actually draws peoples to it. I use Linux for development, and Windows 10 for everything else for practical reasons. Right now, Arch is the most appealing to me due to its package manager and always having the latest stable packages from upstream.
What does Solus bring to the table over the other distros for a developer, or in general?
Are there actually that many people shilling Solus here or is Kevin truly a NEET with nothing else better to do?
Install Solus

Solus is a nice distro with superb performance.
Its boot times are unbeatable if you consider that it's meant to be a daily use distro that comes out of the box with a DE and other utilities.
Stable, easy to install, good looking, slim and snappy. What's there not to love about Solus?
The unique cons to Solus is that it doesn't have as many packages as other distros right now.

Why Solus over Antergos, which gives me a decent desktop out of the box?
>>57740695
as I said, it's faster than any other distro with the same features.

Prove it, and then convince me why I should care about an extra few seconds when I reboot every month.

Solus is a beta distro for beta cucks. I would rather have a distro with a large, knowledgeable user base than being a guinea pig.
I'm using Fedora 24. Convince me to switch to this.

Fedora is pretty much up there
>>57740496
Solus does not even have fundamental features such as Chinese IME. Would not recommend.

This. Someone prove Solus is anything more than a meme.
>>57741094
對。solus是meme品。
>>57741094
But can't you just compile it yourself?
>>57741270
Then I would be using Gentoo.

Looks like Kevin just memed this distro for shits and gigs
