Will wayland create as many autistic arguments as systemd?
When are we going to start seeing application ported to Wayland?

How are they even related? Wayland is a display server and systemd is an init system.
>>57739693
They're both big changes
>>57739428
>systemd
>replaces your init system
>first process when starting pc
>biggest potential for linux botnet
>huge monolithic architecture
>over 600k lines of code
>hard to trace code
>nope.jpg
>wayland
>window system

Yes but wayland is a good change and systemd is shit.
>>57739834
No Wayland is shit.
>>57739860
Maybe, but it's still a good change because X11 is shittier.
>>57739755
Wayland is a lot smaller than Xorg and everyone agrees that it is a change for the better. Only a couple of people even fully understand Xorg and alot of the code is no longer used and there are security holes in Xorg that can't be fixed because of the way it is built.
btw I'm using wayland and it feels nice.
couldnt they have ported the plan 9 display server instead?
