hi! i have a fresh install of ubuntu 16.04, my DE is unity 7.4.0 but i want to switch to gnome 3.18. Can somebody help me?

Either you log with Gnome Classic DE
Or install gnome-tweak-tool to get rid of some unity shit
Or install MATE aka good ol' gnome 2

install gnome through command line in standard ubuntu
OR
install ubuntu gnome, then install gnome tweak tool

It'll be easier to just install Ubuntu GNOME to avoid issues. Either way, sudo apt autoremove ubuntu-desktop, then sudo apt install ubuntu-gnome-desktop

Or just switch to Fedora because GNOME runs like shit on Ubuntu.
