Pathetic

Is...this...the...power...of...Linux?!!!
GTK 4.0 approaches.
It's not on the roadmap.
Some guy on /g/ made working thumbnails in like an afternoon before but the patch was rejected, lel
Maybe in 2030 Linux will finally get thumbnail view
>>57715462
Not surprising considering the Gnome devs actually removed the window buttons by default.
Someone there actually thought that would be a good idea. Just let that sink in.

>year is almost 2017

Pathetic
Move to KDE
>>57715462
It was for GTK2 and GTK2 isn't getting any additional features any longer, only bug fixes.

Kill yourself.

You still can drag&drop it from filemanager.
Daily reminder that gtk is a piece of shit since the very day of its birth.

Windows 95 called to get its features back
Oh wait, you don't have it

no thanks.

That's subhuman.
>>57715667
I can, even on Gtk2 too, but i don't need it, so who cares?
>>57715706
>muh workflow
>>57715387
Why are you picking up old bugs from 2004 that were patched years ago?
>>57715523
>>57715724
Clearly not you since you drag & drop files to upload like a goddamn retard xD

Shitposting this hard.

>Retarded design with Vista like bubble gum transparency
>3 different start menus bundled into incl Windows 8 Metro style
>Try to remove hot corners, distro crashes
>Try to disable KDE wallet, distro crashes
>Try to run software update, it does nothing
Who the fuck designed this failed abortion? Even Gnome is more responsive than this.

This is why i'm on KDE3. Maksimus Komfymus and rock stable.

that's where you fucked up. Install KDE Neon, Manjaro KDE, Fedora KDE, or something else that actually has SOMEWHAT UP TO DATE SOFTWARE.

Also, I can tell just from reading your post that you have an Nvidia GPU. Nigger, Nvidia is fucking awful with Linux. It causes screen tearing out the ass, and 99% of KDE crashes can be traced to the shitty Nvidia drivers. If you had a cheap $30 Radeon card on open source drivers, you would never experience a crash in KDE.
>>57716717
Is KDE Neon a stand alone distro or just DE? I don't understand these fancy names. I just want KDE without bloat.
>>57716772
And with an AMD card on Linux he couldn't run half life 2 at 800x600 at 15FPS
>>57716910
I can play TF2 at 60FPS, 1080p on open source drivers with my RX 460. Not that I would want to, because games are kiddie shit only worth playing briefly for a bit of amusement.
What do you want from your GPU on Linux:
extra frames per second in some fucking video game?
OR
No screen tearing, no crashes, and no graphical glitches?
If you prefer the latter, AMD or Intel drivers are the only option.
>>57716772
Actually its Intel.
>>57716981
Okay, I think KDE 5.7 and above should work on that. I had a 4th gen i5 laptop that wouldn't even boot into (outdated) live KDE sessions. I gave up and threw GNOME Fedora on it. Recently I decided to give KDE a swing, and just added it to my installation. On 5.7, it works flawlessly.
>>57717033
How do I get the ISO on USB? The Rosa image writer does not work on Ubuntu, I got the 64bit version.
Should I just unzip the contents directly to USB drive like I do with Windows?
>>57715387
you dirty rotten liar
>>57716873
Neon is a distro based off Ubuntu
>>57717099
Which one to download? Why the hell is this so confusing.
>>57716110
Booted up a KDE distro last week just to notice that KDE4 look and feels good only in screenshots on desktop threads.
>>57715523
Try these:
>rename a file while picking
>delete some files while picking
>resize a preview image to appropriate scale
You still can't do that.
