I've had this monitor for well over 1.5 yrs now.

Congrats, you saved money on aged technology.
>>
>>57699287
I got nothing because my new job pays every two weeks and I started mid pay period so I have to wait 3 weeks for my first check.

But im planning on replacing my 750k/fm2 board/7870MYST with an 8320e+970 AM3+ board and a 470 8gb
>>
>>57699471
So I did good, then?

>>57699480
I know that feel, bro.
Why not wait, though? I'm all for AMD, but FX is really not worth buying anymore, Zen is right around the corner, too, meaning big price drops, if that's what you want. Probably even deeper cuts than BF sales
>>
>>57699521
Yea im going to end up waiting i guess. I just dont believe the final product will match the hype, it hasnt the last few generations and once its out intel will announce something better so waiting in general always seemed pointless as there will always be something better around the corner and the 8320e would be satisfactory for what I do nowadays anyway
>>
>>57699569
It'll never match the hype, but that's because of idiots attributing outrageous claims to AMD, instead of the rumor mill. Imo, Zen looks like exactly what AMD says it's going to be. A competitive option to Intel, rather than a "INTEL BTFO" kind of thing.

And I'm ok, with that.
>>
>>57699287
i have that same monitor. its good. and you got it cheaper than i did

How is the TN panel, compared to an IPS? I'm upgrading from a Korean IPS, that doesn't have a DP, and tops out its oc at low 77hz

Planning on getting something along those lines next black friday once they've come down a bit. I have a older Westinghouse at 1080p with no smart features, but I bought a nice sound bar this black friday to nurse it along.

Just gonna chuck $100 in an envelope each month for the next year or so and then see what's available next November.

Going in the afternoon there was almost nothing in stock that I had researched.

That's a terrible monitor, OP. They have the failure rates expected of an IPS panel, while only being a TN panel. Often in the first year you'll get a row of dead pixels (like 30 or something along the bottom right or left) then it will begin flickering.

https://www.vizio.com/e65e0.html
Parents bought it for $700, it's a piece of shit, going to return it first thing tomorrow.
Main reason is because you need to download a piece of shit app to use all the "built in Chromecast" shit. How is it Bulit in if you do it all from a spyware-tier app? They wanted me to help them out installing it and when I saw that, told them it's no good. Especially since they're no going to invest in stuff like 4K Bluray or even TV Programming.

32gb for virtualization, and I saw Jet.com while on pcpartpicker but having never really used them and only seen semi-shady commercials i was hesitant. You're saying they're legit?
>>
>>57713331
Yeah, they're fine. I got my seasonic psu from them and it works perfectly fine. They had 30% off on Friday but it ended at 10pm that day, and I missed out on that. But all new accounts get 15% off until New Years' day on their first three orders with a max of $30 off so if you keep your purchases around $200 per order you get max benefits. They always have more promos going on, too.
They may look cheap from their ui and expressive color on their site they they're not shady. Just don't opt out of free returns unless you absolutely will use something forever.

Until IPS monitors can achieve high refresh rates and low input latency without being exorbitantly expensive, tn is superior for gaymen, where all Ips is superior in atm is color accuracy and viewing angle. A good TN monitor isn't bad in those areas, either. Check the reviews of the op, it's more accurate out of the box than some Korean ips'

It's actually totally worth it since stuff boots and loads faster. In addition, my work involves a lot of data extraction and read/write from SQL tables (on my computer). Using the SSD, I managed to extract more data in 24 hours than what I was able to do all last week with my normal HD.

TN panels tend to have slightly shittier color accuracy, and the colors get real distorted when viewed at an angle

On the plus side, they usually have a much better response time, which means better frame rates in you gayms.

I personally have a TN panel, specifically this: https://www.amazon.com/VG248QE-1920x1080-DisplayPort-Ergonomic-Back-lit/dp/B00B2HH7G0?tag=logicaincrem-20

What are you trying to do with this? It's gotta be a piece of shit if it doesn't even record in 24 bit. Sample rate isn't all that a big a deal, but even budget interfaces record in at least 96khz. I would be mostly concerned about it only recording in 16 bit, that's dog shit.
>>
>>57729418
Playback computer audio, record voice, synthesizer (or console or something?) and guitar if needed, and slap a 3.5mm aux cable on for the hell of it
44khz isn't a dealbreaker for me but yeah I completely agree about the 16bit, when I record and sample I need that extra bit of resolution when stretching audio

>thinking about buying a 144hz monitor

>>
>>57729501
How much did you pay for it? You shouldn't skimp on audio equipment anon. What microphone do you use? Judging by the specs I suspect the pres on that thing are shit. Seems kinda like a gimmick to throw compressors and eq on a $100 interface. Like if you're paying for all of these features, more important things like the pre suffers. You can just use a virtual audio cable to route your mic through your daw for real time compression and eq. Its higher quality too
>>
>>57729592
It's $130, and I'm using a cheap behringer condenser mic, it's still great quality though, and it claims to have good preamps on the two mic channels, but we'll see
And how would you bypass the mixers DAC? I'm sure the microphone signal would have to go through the 16bit/44khz before passing through USB?
It has USB return too which is something I needed, but I'm sure all 16bit/kHz
>>
>>57729592
It has EQ bypass and compressor bypass, but who knows how clean that would really be
>>
>>57729592
And would you say software EQ is better than hardware? There's no USB EQ on this mixer which worries me, I'd have to route USB audio to "control room" and plug rca cables from "control room" into a stereo input to EQ USB, it's doable but a hassle.
Software EQ sounds easy but I can't find a realtime global EQ for Windows, just standalone EQs that you have to load audio into...
>>
>>57729631
For that price you should just get a decent interface. You're supposed to go through the dac otherwise you can't get a signal to your computer. What you do is send the dry signal to your daw then output the wet signal through a virtual cable for real time processing. I think the usb mixers a meme, they look cool but I don't think they are very quality (obviously 41khz 16 bit). Take a look at the audient id4. Not very expensive but it has the same mic pres audient uses in their high end stuff and has super low noise. I'm using 600ohms headphones with it. You're only paying for the pres and conversion
>>
>>57729678
Its about the same. If you're comparing it to 3rd rate hardware eq built onto a usb interface for $100, its better. Just google how to process your mic through a daw in realtime.
>>
>>57729715
I want global EQ, not to be limited to the daw being open every time I want to watch youtube with better clarity
>>57729702
But you think that's better than the hardware EQ? I was hearing to get hardware over digital software EQ

>>
>>57729745
That lets you eq the sound going to your headphones? Yes it is better than a shitty low budget hardware eq. Software eq is an emulation of the original hardware so the difference is negligible between the software eq and a eq box that goes for $1000, because the software is an emulation of the super expensive hardware. Make sense? So hardware can be worse than software, in some cases it may be better, but only when you spend a fuck ton of money. Download voice meeter banana if you want to eq your headphones

Now that Seagate has a near half failure rate than WD, will the meme end? Is it still too risky?

Microcenter for the cpu: $259.99
Combo that with that mobo at $159.99 and get $30 off, so $259.99 for the cpu and $129.99 for the mobo before taxes. If you don't have microcenter near you, try frys. If neither are near you, pray to whatever deity you believe in to deliver you a sale.

Get the ram on jet or newegg. Case should be good from either of them, too.

I just got that exact tv. Its the only ips in the line up, in case that matters to you at all.
Im very pleased with mine. The backlight array works unbelievably well and the colors are amazing. Seriously, i havent seen such inky blacks since the days of plasma. And while the sets with fewer backlight zones often have some annoying bleed in areas or random glitches where a zone will flash on for a moment seemingly randomly, i can barely tell where the individual zones are even on a mostly black picture with very little else on screen. White text on a black background still shows the seems unfortunately. But otherwise in a pitch black room at night, i had to look very hard to differentiate the blacks on screen from the darkness behind the set. Its by far the best looking tv ive ever owned and one of the best ive ever seen.
The tablet is pretty neat, and actually plenty capable of just general dicking around on the internet. Though i have to admit its kind of a pain to use for adjusting picture settings and such. Theres a delay between adjusting the sliders and stuff and it actually moving to where you put your finger, and another delay until the tv responds.
I dont think its a massive issue, especially considering how shitty it is to flip through menus on a traditional tv, but it can be a bit frustrating.
I watched mad max road warrior hd remastered and the upscaling looked great to my eyes, and fury road in uhd was fucking amazing.
I dont know how that particular samsung compares though and im probably horribly biased since i own the vizio so take from that what you will.

First 2 are a flat $200 and solid deals, and I can't even tell a difference between the two. Both also come with displayport cables so that's a plus.

The 3rd one might not come with DP cable, and has no reviews. Might be Costco-a-shit but it's also $30 less. Worth the risk?

The EVGA SC is the one you wanna get. (top left in your pic)

It's not really a overheating issue for normal use. It's only when you benchmark does the card hit high 90c which could be a problem if you like benchmarking. I'm sure the newer cards sold in store now have the thermal pads placed in them. If not, you can just shoot EVGA an email and they'll send you a replacement card with the pads.

Nah. The one year manufacturer's warranty is fine already. Register your card as soon as you get it. If you find that it runs a bit too hot, just get it RMAd. You also qualify for something called Step Up where you can upgrade your card to a better one within a month or so of purchasing
