Anyone on /g/ have their own Home Server? I was looking into building one. If so, what do you use your server for?

Pfsense box, plex server, rendering stuff, fucking around with. Much funner than my gaymen rig honestly.

Haven't had that problem in practice. Every email I send gets where it needs to go.
I want to build a server partially to learn more about networking and also to stream music and back up some files. My storage needs aren't extensive so I'm thinking I'll repurpose my old laptop for it. Anyone tried this?

I have a home server that is hooked up to a motion capture suit so clients can ping to my server and get a body position from anywhere in the world, my routers is fwding all incoming msgs with a certain port to the server.
