So since pretty much every store here welcomed that oh-so-great american tradition of black friday, I waited for today to check some equipment I wanted to buy. Been following the prices for a few days, and well:

>Literally everyone raised their prices beforehand, to drop them "on sale" back to the initial ones, or even still higher than the originals

So how are the deals on your side anons? Anything ACTUALLY worth buying?

Checked the price over the past few months, legit

But reviews says it has the usual TN issues

Why cant anyone make a good 24" 144hz, VA/IPS monitor?

480 GB SSD for $86? I have a 120 GB I got when I built this computer, but it basically can't even fit a single game that would actually make use of it these days with 60 GB games. Anything wrong with this? Is it a lot slower than something just a bit more expensive? Seems like ~500GB SSDs always get in the triple digits.

1440p 144hz or 1080p 180hz with g-sync? Two 27" inch monitors for the same price. I'm only going to be using it for gaming and I have a 1070. Mostly playing games like csgo and overwatch.

From what i've read and the videos i've watched, 1440p has more pixels and so generally the picture is a lot sharper because it has more pixels. Most of the sales are to shift old stock that is not selling well and they throw in a few choice morsels now and then to make it appear as if they aren't just trying to sell old tat. I have just purchased an OLED 4K TV but it was already reduced before black friday sales started. It barely went down in price over this period. Meanwhile they had all the old outdated and shitty LCD panels stacked a mile high.

Youtube compresses their shit to fuck. Same with Netflix and Amazon. UHD uses a ton of bandwidth and pretty much everything out there apart from UHD bluray discs and a few demos is bitrate starved and grainy/blocky/or soft as fuck. BTW the UHD HDR trailers for Lego movie and Mad Max are in encrypted continaers only playable on Panasonic UHD TV's. What a fucking joke.
>>
>>57688223
https://www.sven.de/dpi/
The 24" monitor = 91.79 PPI
The 25" monitor = 111.14 PPI

On top of the better pixel pitch and being an IPS panel, the aspect ratio will be good for widescreen movies and will make it a better general usage web/photo monitor.

https://www.monitornerds.com/acer-gn246hl-144hz-monitor-review-2016/
The 24" being a TN/144Hz and also supporting NVIDIA 3D LightBoost means it'll really be a good workout for your 1060 at it's fullest in games.

So think about what you will be spending the most of your time using this monitor for, games or anything else.

Tremendous different in colors and viewing angles which will be an issue on large-format monitors like you are looking at. I'd suggest springing for it, because even though OLED is gonna kick both their teeth in, they won't be in the $500-range for a few years.
