Write an algorithm that will reorder all the frames in all the films into a single file in an order such that the number of pixels that change between frames is minimal (approaches zero delta-change between frames). Then you just have to write your own read function that will playback all the frames in correct order for a specific film. Something like a number at the end of each frame to tell the reader which frame comes next.

Buffer time would likely be quite large as it repeatedly rereads the file to put enough frames in order to playback at native fps, but on the plus side you made a ridiculous video compression algorithm that probably doesn't even reduce the file size at all that would still look good on a resume anyway.

convert everything you have to 480p and use mpv (with opengl-hq) to watch it back kinda almost as good as it was in the first place.

I basically want a 64-bit ffmpeg that can do 10-bit x265/vp9 + vorbis/opus.

I spent a while fucking with mingw and cygwin environments before giving up due to random errors that I couldn't find other people running into.

I'll probably just fire up a vps and cross-compile it from linux, or maybe I'll give the latest visual studio a go.

I'm currently converting almost 2tb of porn with handbrake for this very reason.

Really wish I had a dual 8 core xeon setup right about now.

There's plenty guides out there, I know because I bothered to read them.

Just play with the RF slider, leave it at variable bitrate and if you're stuck then hover over settings and read the tooltip.
