Games are kind-of split into two groups now, at least for me. Most run good on my old 660ti, and some of the newer ones (Paragons for example) run like complete shit even on low settings. I'm guessing the problem is the card bottle-necking my processor, which is a i7-4790k (4 or 4.2 ghz I think) and can handle most anything.

I just want someone to put that 1070 on sale for 300-350$ so I can scoop it up and play Bannerlord at max settings with max unit count whenever it releases.

i've never tried gear vr but obviously a phone VR has less setup, but also less customization. the vive /can/ take some setup time to fiddle with the screen positioning, but it takes like 5 minutes at most.

there's no embedded 'netflix' program to make movies appear on vive, i use a program called virtual desktop and just fullscreen mpv or vlc after adjusting the virtual screen position.

the only thing that's annoying at times are the cables running out the back since i'll be sitting on my bed, but i get past that by unstrapping the cables and running them behind a pillow.

Asus GTX 1070 STRIX 8GO

Normally sells for €530 but I can get it for €420. Will probably end up getting it.

Problem is that I rarely play games, and when I do it's games like Factorio/CK2/TF2 which are hardly GPU intensive games (Dell 1440p monitor). On the other hand I'd probably keep it for the next 5 years, so would serve me well.
