Yes.

Heat hurts lion battery life.

But in reality you are eplacing your phone in two years so it will only have a percent or two effect at most during the entire life of the device.

Charging faster no, because your phone will limit the current it takes, you'll not damage it electrically.

But the heat really fucks up LiPo. If faster charging times really comes handy for you, maybe you could build a dock of some kind ans attach a small fan.
