Debian is not botnet. You should keep using Ubuntu/Mint until your less of a noob.
>>57673082
yeah i want to learn more and then move on to arch sooner or later
>>57673082
Why not Arch instead tho
>>57673089
Do whatever you want, Arch is more troublesome from what i hear.
>>57673114
I call it CanterburyOS for this very reason desu, wish it would just die off
>>57673089
I've heard packages for stuff arent as good, and its more things you have to do by yourself, not like debian that everything is precompiled pretty much

>systemd
Yes. Try Devuan, Slackware, PCLinuxOS, or Gentoo.

>>57672866
the fucking installer for testing is a botnet. it doesn't let you complete the installation for debian testing unless you have internet. debian stable is still safe...for now

uh, yeah i kinda didnt rly know how to word it :(

Btw, just to reply something relevant, Debian is a very nice os, using it myself as well.
Debian is good they should just make it easier to include non-free firmware in the installer. They have images with non-free firmware for stable but not testing. Pain in the ass if you have a Wifi or Ethernet card that needs drivers.
