Depends how much he spilled. If it was a splash maybe but more than half a glass that shit is fucked. The radiator is a horrible idea just cause of the battery alone, get it off there! Also would recommend he take it apart and try to clean it with isopropyl alcohol before turning it on.

Dismantle it as much as you can, and clean everything with isopropyl. Make sure there is no moisture or sugars left from the wine. I saved a laptop from coffee this way.

1. wine won't completely evaporate, it will leave behind things that may cause problems
2. rice absorbs moisture, but doing pic related won't do shit. you need to put them into a sealed container

So you've seen a video, right?
I know 2 cases that worked:
case 1: sony-ericsson smartphone that fell completely into cup of tea (no sugar, which is somehow good). Put in rice immadietly (battery apart) and started up after ~24hours (previous attempts failed). It worked flawlessly for a long time afterwards (over 2 years)
case 2: badly wet yoga tablet used in heavy rain that managed to start and be connected to pc via usb after >24h ricebath. All data restored. (battery was swollen and screen was already fucked though)

That's funny because one of my friend also dropped some alcohol (way less) on his macbook and the shit was definitely broken.
