Good hardware bad software (even now) extremely limited app support. If you get a Windows phone make sure it's a Nokia device and make sure it has an SD card so you can install Cyanogenmod. Be aware that you may need to tweak a few things to make everything compatible with the hardware but after that: You'll have a phone that is way more capable than any current flagship android for a huge fraction of the price

i use a windows phone as my main phone because my other phone is broken.

I loved all 3 of my lumia windows phones. The Office integration was sweet, and getting around company firewalls because "what's a windows... /phone/?" was nice.

But snapchat, pokemongo, a generally customizable UI, and several other QoL perks converted me when the G5 came out.

Battery life on Nokia phones are nice. Gave my dad a 635 (625?) and he enjoys it. Had another one that seemed like it would've been nice to develop for if I hadn't gotten busy.
