That's because there isn't a 1070 equivalent out. That would end up being the RX 490. Closest thing to the 1070 AMD has is the Fury X.

its just not a big leap over the 980 ti in terms of performance. considering a beefy (1.4ghz+) overclock 980 ti will match, or exceed a stockish 1070. my buddies gigabyte xtreme 980 ti boosts on its own to 1.45ghz and scores right up there with stockish 1070's.

kinda underwhelming. would be nice if it had the 1080's lead over the 980 ti.

this generation the "1080 ti" should have been the 1080. the 1080 the 1070 and the 1070 the 1060.

Yeah I still haven't made up my mind on either getting a 480 8gb or spend a few more bucks for a 1070. I want it to last 4yrs so I figure the 1070 is a better bet. But is the dx12 handicap real or a meme?

I got a 1070 now.

Honestly I went with the R9 390 because it was cheaper then the 970 GTX in my country.

I did the same now because well there was no real competition for 1070... so I just went with it.

But yeah get a 1080 or wait for an 1080 Ti. But if recent history is anything to go by. AMD and Nvidia are tied.
