Virtualbox or Dualboot.
Forced to use windows but would like to run Mint/Ubuntu/Elementary
Dualboot for native performance. Virtualbox for the lulz.

Dualboot can cause some errors on window's side (nothing too serious, a simple restart fixes everything). But it's generally a better performing/cheaper solution.

If just restarting the PC fixes Wangblows' errors from running the VM, count me in.

I have to use qemu for my OS class. The OS that we emulate isn't hard to drive at all, but my computer shits itself whenever qemu is running. What's the reason for this? It's emulating an x86 machine.
I prefer virtual machines, because I don't want to have to reboot when I want to switch between operating systems.
And I keep my linux vm's relatively light, so the performance is alright.
windows gets bored and when you're running linux it will be tickling its butt and trying to make it mess up behind the scenes
