Interesting. Mind explaining what you have going here?
I couldn't do windows 2000 so i did windows xp for a while, but now i just do windows 7 because of hardware support.
I used to do windows. I still do, but I used to, too

which DE is this???!?!??!
>>57630546
yeh nice
>>57630654
It's called CDE (Common Desktop Environment).
It was a DE for Unix Workstations in the late 80s and early 90s. It was brought back by a Team of developers, providing modern Linux compatible source code and istructions on how to compile.
However I tried to compile on multiple different Distros and Versions and it would never work out....
Also the source isn't under the GNU/GPL license, but under the MIT license, which might upset some People.
I eventually settled for Window Maker
>pic related
It's a highly customizeable, similarly old School DE that you can install from most distros repos as "wmaker"
real comfy tho

The operating system is plan9.
The program that's running is called acme.
You really shouldn't bother trying it unless you like obscure minimalist software.
>>57632233
yeah i know what plan 9 is, won't try it lol.
>>57630654
it was literally named in the filename...

a shitty distro
>>57627710
I was that guy still running 2k and having to get old versions of shit or fuck around with them to work, but I eventually said if I was going to have to dick with that much shit anyways I might as well just run linux.
I remember getting really mad when Chrome updated and stopped working because they switched which random number generator syscall they used and just deleted all of the code for win2k.
