>>
>>57619480
yes, I'm still on 56k
>>
>>57619480
Fuck you I'm still on dialup!

Can you really get MP3s in only a day???
>>
>>57619798
downloading MP3s even on dial-up didn't really take that long. I got 4-5KB/s on kazaa back in the day
>>
>>57619824
Used to take me a few days 2bh, could only use my pc after school and we weren't allowed to leave it on unattended.

The new voodoo card. It's coming out soon.
>>
>>57619874
3dfx went bankrupt in 2000. Get your time period right, faggots.

>>
>>57619998
56kbps are 7KBytes/s
3*1024KByte/7KByte/s = approx 439 seconds or barely over 7 minutes.
>>
>>57620083
Nobody ever actually gets the full advertised speed you idiot.
>>
>>57620106
I got over 6Kbyte/s.
Even 7KByte/s on a good day.

>>
>>57620237
Still, even if you had only 1KByte/s - 1/7 of the transferrates - it would have taken you less than 1 hour.

Why are you lying here?

You need to download with 35Bytes/s to have a download duration of 24hours.

Please kill yourself, how can anyone be this shit at lying?

Imagine Ageia PhysX

Include Nvidia and now you know what happened to 3dfx

Nvidia added 3d acceleration into their cards.
3dfx cards, just like Ageia cards were dedicated cards to run a specific thing.
In 3dfx case this was 3d acceleration which nobody at the time managed, imagine Software vs Direct3D/OpenGL/PowerVR etc

Actually 3dfx stopped licensing cards and making their own, non dedicated accelerators.

That's why Nvidia got the market. Companies who where doing 3dfx cards went over to Nvidia, Nvidia got a huge sales increase, 3dfx burned their market and then Nvidia bought them.

Pirate OSes.

Use 95 till late 1998 Upgrade to 98.

Literally because it looks nice decide to upgrade to ME (I'm a kid like 11 or 12)

I have to Format my 3.2 GB HDD every 3 months because ME somehow fails every single time.

Be retarded refuse to upgrade to XP until 2003 because "XP uses too much RAM" and I had only 192 MB of SD RAM.

Yes I had one 32 stick one 64 stick and 128 stick. Each salvaged from an old PC.

Only upgrade to XP after I got my new PC in Autumn 2003 it was a Pentium 4 1.7 Ghz with 512 MB DDR Ram and a Radeon 9000 PRO.

TFW my father fell for the Pentium meme even after I read that it was shit in PC magazines because my father knew a guy who said Pentium was okay so he insisted on Pentium...
