Also now that I've handled a real one, $22 (which is the new preorder price for a "real" one) is fucking retarded. These are now selling for just over $6 on Ali and even that is just a little too much. It's two half-cubes of cheap (but not shitty cheap, just cheap) plastic with a bunch of plastic stuff in it and one ball bearing, pressed together. Once the molds are paid for (spoiler alert: the Kickstarter took care of that) the manufacture cost on these things definitely does not exceed a dollar.

Definitely check what version supports the bands your carrier is using, but that goes for any chink phone. Xiaomi Redmi 3 (5", non-pro non-fingerprint version) literally just died when I plugged in an empty (meaning nothing was in the other end of the OTG cable) chinkshit android green Robot OTG adapter.

Had 85% charge, screen just blinked and turned itself off, that's it. Voldown + power for 60s won't do anything, volup + power for 60 seconds nothing.

I had TWRP installed on it and some spacex miui rom for like 7 months now, no updates have been done.

Fuck this meme shit, never had an issue in the history of android phones like this where an OTG adapter can fry a whole phone.

Hello /csg/, i just got my RN3P Kate and flashed TWRP + CM13 on it, works like a charm, BUT it has two annoying issues.
1. After re/boot if throws the error "the process 'system' has stopped working", no idea were this is comming from, everything works.. the only thing is that the phone does not automatically connect to wifi.

Got one of these in the mail this week and was impressed enough that I ordered 5 more. The body constructions seems very solid, it's light and bright enough for a small flashlight. The zoom/ focus ring is form enough to not move on its own and with a more focused beam, you can easily light up (smaller) distant objects.

If you're planning on giving these to random people, maybe order the variant that doesn't have three modes because every switiching it on and off will cylce it into the next of the 3 available modes. Cycling is done by lightly tapping the button when it's on. The strobe mode could be faster but who needs that anyway. They're pretty great flashlights just to keep in your bag/backpack/jacket pocket/ glovebox but you're probably not going to win any lumen-dickwaving contests with them.

You can cause the mode to reset to the first one in the cycle after shutting it off by adding a pencil mark on the lead of a capacitor or something (I don't remember what it was exactly, but a quick google search along the lines of "Cree flashlight pencil trick" should bring it up, the process is slightly different depending on which light you have). I did it on mine and it causes the flashlight to default to the first mode after a few seconds of it being off. You can still cycle through the different modes with a light press of the on/off switch, but it will prevent you from having to cycle to the bright mode from dim or seizure mode every time you turn it on.

I got the BTS-06 bluetooth shower speaker today. It seems pretty decent for $5-6. The audio quality is good enough, not like knock your socks off 24 bit HD flac ruizu autism quality but not bad either. It's pretty easy to set up and use as well.

My chinkshit phantom PSU has failed so I opened it up to see what's the problem. I instantly noticed a shitstained decoupling capacitor. After replacing it I thought that would be it but it turns out that since the failed capacitor shorted the output, it also killed the TIP122 darlington pair. I'll replace the TIP122 and report back with results, nothing else seems damaged so I think it will work then.

Me as well. I don't mind initially spending some time with a knife to get a nice mirror polish on the blade, but HATE having to touch it up when it dulls. I have a lot of knives that I rotate though daily, so when a knife does need to be resharpened, I notice it and am annoyed of it because I use it far from daily. The main steels I have noticed poor performance from are any 4xx series steels, and 8cr13mov. Anything higher (including Aus 8) has been satisfactory for me.

I think I just got a free Redmi Note 3.
