Win most, lose some.
>>
>>57612291
100% safe. Ebay will almost always side with the buyer.
>>
>>57612291
I'd check first Newegg but Ebay is safe.
>>

>Ebay will almost always side with the buyer.
this
keep in mind gpu could have been used in buttcoin mining
>>
>>57612291
Don't bother, the chances of getting one on its last legs after a life of mining are far too high.
>>
>>57612472
>>57612522
Canti return it?
Also what does mining do to the card?
>>
>>57612522
>2016
>people mining on gfx cards
>on a 980ti

SURE.
>>
>>57612671
Dunno, returning stuff on eBay is always a pain in the dick. Mining kills the card.

>>57612707
Shh gaymer, go back to playing your paladin
>>
>>57612671
heat it up a bit

solid state circuits don't degrade like that
>>
>>57612716
Logic.

WOTS ASIC?

fucking retard
>>
>>57612671
a Mining card would be run 100% for its entire life, If the chip itself isn't damaged, the thermal paste and possibly fans are fucked.

But this is more an amd problem, nvidia is kind of crap for compute alone, What I mean is amd has higher flops and when a program uses them all, like a coin miner, amd is better power/performance then nvidia, where nvidia you likely would operate at a loss.
>>
>>57612747
What the fuck are you even on about you fucking moron. You're wrong. Get over it.
>>
>>57612707
miners came back a few months before amd put their polaris out. It won't be long before its non profitable for them again.
>>
>>57612775
>talks about mining
>doesnt know what asic is

This is what /g/ has become? Did you buy your pc from bestbuy?

Holy fuck.
>>
just buy a new graphics card. or better yet, open a savings account and don't waste your money on video games

you're gonna be bitching about your student debt and how broke you are for the next 30 years of your life when it's because you make stupid fucking decisions

like spending all 200 dollars of your life savings on used graphics card so you can play fucking video games

Jesus christ you're both fucking retarded mongoloids. Meet up and suicide each other, it's the only way.

>wheee im wrong but won't accept it
You're just pathetic really, I'm embarrassed for you.
>>
Only buy used cards if it's off a friend or relative you know well otherwise you're probably going to get an oven baked GPU that may even be underclocked to avoid artifacts caused by faulty VRAM or GPU die.
>>
Wouldnt the six month protection period help you with that?
>>
>>57612770
>crypto currency
>doing flops
>>
>>57612291
If the seller is really legit and you see the reason they're selling, Ebay is alright. I've gotten lots of things from there, but not much for the PC. It's smarter to save up and just get a new one though.
>>
/r/hardware swap is probably your best bet. If you handle the transaction like a sale instead of as FaF you get some buyer protection in case its not as described but I've generally had good dealings via leddit. I've gotten a 980Ti dirt cheap that works perfectly and a Surface Pro 3 when the one I got from ebay wouldn't turn off.

Bitcoin mining on GPU has been unprofitable on virtually all cards since around 2013-2014. OP's choice of 980ti supercedes with the date. Not to mention it was AMD cards that were more efficient with mining on average, not NVIDIA.

As it would turn out, even if you don't have good drivers, you can still do math pretty well.
>>
>>57612852
Umm dude, you better check your ammo before dueling.
ASIC > GFX for cryptocoin mining

>play fucking video games
which itself is a massive waste of time and life
especially when it isn't even fun anymore because calling someone a worthless faggot now gets you banned instantly.
when did the internet get so serious? and so fucking horrendously censored
just look at how many idiots believe the bullshit lies about trump
>>
>>57612291

Pretty much 100% safe because they will take the buyers side instantly in any dispute.
>>
>>57614419

What do you even use a computer for if you seriously think a 7800 series card is acceptable now.
>>
>>57614764
yes i use a computer...
7800 is plenty for shitposting and even gaymen.
not like they've released any games worth buying that require one of the half dozen rebrands they've released since 7870 came out
>>
>>57612291
Yo nigga real talk I got a GTX 1080 but because of school and work I legit have no time to make use of it in games. I'll sell it to you for 600. Only had it a month.
>>
>>57614015
but isn't mining kind of necessary for the bitcoin/blockchain infrastructure to work AT ALL?
>>
>>57612291
its definetly not safe
I would 100% recommend NOT buying and wasting your money in the end
>>
>>57612291
>>>/v/
>>

I cant even play Dark Souls 3 at medium to low settings

>>
>>57616453
I cant run graphically demanding games
>>
>>57616779

bf1, dark souls..
everything runs on that gpu you lying faggot.

28nm cards are dead anon

...get with the time
>>
The 980 ti is still a great card. If you can get one for cheap from a reputable seller with returns then you'll be fine.
>>
>>57616918
Can i use a 500w psu for a 980 ti?
Can i trust online gtx 980 ti sellers that sell them for 10$-200$
