Can we agree this is the best processor ever?

No. Go be a retard somewhere else.

Has Via ever been relevant? That's a more pertinent question.
Their chips are more expensive than Intel and AMD equivalents, less power efficient and come with considerably worse IGPs. So, what are they good for? Why are they still going and how?

But I'm getting down voted on leddit

What's a AIA?
nah

My laptop has via audio and probably some other components (usb controllers and shit)
I heard via usb3 was shit but personally havent experienced any issues

For quite some time, they were making the chipsets that worked with Intel CPUs significantly better than the Intel ones.
Those were the dark times of Tualatin/Wastmere

wot

When board with CPU price has been around ~50$ been more then decent replacement for low power x86 device compared with competitor solution.
But currently even embedded CPU from AMD have lower cost and better power effective.

limp dick shit

limp dick ancient shit

Asians that make computer-controlled manufacturing shit, the embroidery machine that I work on for a local business has a tiny a VIA setup inside that's running Windows 98, and is controlled over LAN from a computer. The machine cost $20,000, and the software $1,200, and the software running on both the machine AND the controlling PC looks like it was made to emulate the Office '97 interface, fucking retarded

>they were making the chipsets that worked with Intel CPUs significantly better than the Intel ones
If this was the case, I didn't see it, because all the Soyo boards I used to use had absolute garbage VIA chipsets with the touchiest goddamn AGP drivers in the world
My first rig had a VIA processor.
It was incapable of throwing a bluescreen due to not supporting that resolution.
