You should care. And no, it's not the "greatest OS ever". That's entierly subjective.

Any OS that has security updates is better.

Install something else or get fucked over.

I personally don't care because only someone truly tech illiterate would spot such nonsense that obsolete software which is insecure should still be used.

Ask yourself, "Why am i here if i don't know basic security practices. Why am i commenting on my computer's security if i know nothing about it?"
