I have 4GB ram since 2013 and never needed more. I can do gayming, work and all points in between. Never used more than 70% of capacity.

Using software that is optimized and consumes less resources is the right approach so other applications can run in your system parallel without need for upgrade every 6 months.

But I do use Canary, which tends to pass up some features that end up on the stable version.
