The registering before you even touch the screen is a pretty big deal. Like the guy said, it's pretty much a deal breaker. And that's not even taking into account the other issue N-Trig has. Really the only advantage it has over Wacom is the reduced parallax but that's not enough to outweigh the multiple cons.

Can someone tell me whos the targeted audience here? I work with designers and a few of them had some how absolute shit it is compared to a wacom tablet. Only good thing they had to say was the screen and as for the puck they just said who the fuck wants any object on their screen when drawing.

Do most people go bare palm when they use these?

When I use my Cintiq I have always used a half glove thing called a "smudge guard" like pic related because I really love the glide feeling it gives my hand, slides over the surface like ice. Gives incredibly freedom of hand movement.

If I put my bare skin to the Cintiq screen I do not get any glide, my skin tends to stick and it makes drawing a nightmare.

Pretty good review, reaffirms what I expected. Hopefully the pen drivers and / or photoshop get updated to really support the thing down the line. Those are the things that cause the errant marks while hovering, not the hardware itself.
