Hello /g/, pls redpill me on QtCreator, is it yay or nay IDE for C++? I am searching for hobby tool for unix/win32 systems with autocompletion and gui builder. Been using it for 2 days and love it! Also generall C++ appreciation thread
i use it and it's the best one i've seen
my only problem is i'm not sure how legal it is to release products made with it. when i was installing it, it said something about "open source" smth
Only acceptable if you never use the design interface and always program the GUI by hand.

>QtCreator
I have never seen anyone criticize it, although I use it for C#. If you are running windows and want a fast application, it is basically the go to. JavaFX is catching up though, but it is java so it is slow as shit in some places.

I recently had to use Qt and feared to be locked in Qtcreator without visual studio for a while, turn out it's extremely decent, the lack of tabs is a weird choice tho.

>is it yay
It's spelled 'yea'.

Ever heard of word slang?

>word slang
So incorrect spelling and wrong usage are considered 'word sland'? Oh what a brave new world we live in.
'Yea' means yes, 'yay' is an exclamation of joy. When I see someone write 'yay or nay', I assume they are illiterate.

Qt sometimes work better than native gui environments. Especially on Windows

When someone is pulling something this petty out of their ass, there's no argument to be had.
