So what is the best Linux Distro for Linux?
>inb4 Solus
Fuck off Kevin, Solus doesn't even have optimus support

On laptops, hardware support becomes the largest factor. Some kind of ubuntu variant or openSUSE would be your best bet for something that will have decent driver support out of the box.

I am thinking of moving towards an ubuntu variant for nvidia prime, but I realize my preferred gnome flavor of ubuntu is very buggy atm.

Buggy on nvidia drivers? I had some update on ubuntu that made my nvidia card unusable, switched to integrated graphics on an AMD APU.

I do have the choice to turn off optimus in my bios, but then my battery life literally becomes 1 hr.
gentoo.
I've always liked vanilla Ubuntu on my laptops, the launcher has Super + <1-9> shortcuts by default and the integrated menu bar saves a bit of vertical space. Very comfy.

Lubuntu, Xubuntu, Ubuntu MATE, LXLE, Arch, Gentoo, Peppermint, Fedora and lastly Bodhi Linux
OK so I never seem to see any mention of Manjaro in laptop Linux threads, why is that? As a Debian/Antegros user on my desktop I find that when I'm using my laptop in make or break situations Manjaro has both the flexibility and the stability that I need. Is there any reason I should consider another distro for my laptop?
it's past Kevin's bedtime so you don't have to worry about him

Gentoo

Because they forgot to renew their ss twice....l and became the eye of scrutiny. Aside from their shitty indian web admin, their distro is pretty good and I never had a problem with it.
Alot of people don't like anthegros and manjaro because it is the "easy" way to install arch so I would take alot of ppl screaming about how bad it is with a grain of salt.
The answer is always Tails.
